The Den’s own elephant ‘Pawankali’ will take you to thick saal forest and deep valleys of Corbett reserve forest. On elephant safari you can see deer gazing around – wild boars playing in mud – Pythons just relaxing under rocks – Himalayan Hornbill flying giving the whole environment of jungle a mysterious feel. Watch out for leopards who are generally spotted sitting on the trees and the wild elephants who seems likes a big rock when they seize moment. Our trained mahout (elephant rider) have been taking our guests in the jungle for past 23 years and knows the area very well Elephant safari is an experience in itself. We operate morning and evening safari. Also, elephant can be hired for the full day safari given prior appointment.

The Shivalik Range of Himalayas is an ornithologist’s paradise. The unique bio-diversity of this region makes it a favoured spot for migratory birds. ‘The Den, Corbett’ is known as ‘Paradise for bird-watchers’. We have been organizing bird watching tours for years. We are famous for parakeets, owls, orioles, drongos, thrushes, babblers, bulbuls, cuckoos, doves, bee eaters, rollers, flycatchers, warblers, robins, chats, finches, forktails, hornbills, kingfishers and many more. The area with its rich biogeographic diversity, is home to more than 600 species of birds - about half of the total species found in the entire Indian subcontinent! Because of this unique location, the bird population is pretty high throughout the year, with winter visitors, summer visitors, altitudinal migrants, passage migrants and local migrants. Even the fringes of the park are eminently rewarding. All you need is a pair of binoculars for hours - and even days - of fascinated birdwatching.

The smooth cycling tracks allow guests to go on tandem rides with family and friends. Cycling gear is available on request.
